Common Questions
How Long Does it Take?
One typical treatment takes less than 5 minutes per area. Each condition is different, however, most conditions require 4-8 treatments spaced several days apart. During your initial assessment, our team will evaluate your specific condition to determine if shockwave would be of benefit and how many treatments you may need.
Does it Hurt?
If your treatment is over a "fleshy"are, you likely will not feel any discomfort at all. If you treatment is over a "boney" area, some sensitivity/discomfort may be felt. Your first treatment may be slightly uncomfortable; however, as your body heals each successive treatment should be easier.
We use a device called the Zimmer enPuls specifically because it delivers a patented "soft shot" pulse which is less likely to cause discomfort during treatment.
